● Project: Tumelo roundtable discussion paper design, marketing materials and photography.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
I was the designer and photographer for Tumelo’s first roundtable discussion paper. The output document was a summary piece on ‘The role of client-directed voting in stewardship’.
I devised a graphic language (whilst still keeping within Tumelo’s visual style) that would work across print, motion, and marketing materials seamlessly.
The visual language for the roundtable was influenced by the idea of a circular discussion table and took inspiration from the ‘o’ in the Tumelo logo. I used this as a container to house imagery and quotes — forming a distinctive look and feel for the whole campaign.

I created a range of assets and template designs in Figma — empowering copywriters and the marketing team to duplicate, update and easily access elements.
● Project: Tumelo brand guidelines — empowering a business with design.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The problem: When I started at Tumelo the team didn’t have a set of brand guidelines, just a basic design system for the product. Key documents were housed in different locations and people were getting confused as to where the latest and relevant assets were.
A way of bringing all the information into one central source was needed.
Solution: I initiated and collated all the content from across the business, bringing together all aspects of the visual language — to create a comprehensive set of brand guidelines for everyone to use.
The guidelines were created in Figma, so we could easily add and update the content. As well as linking out to key resources and templates for the team to be able to self-serve what they needed. Saving both my time and colleagues in sourcing the correct assets.
SCOPE OF WORK
Brand guidelines creation
Interactive Figma prototype

● Project: Internal Insights — knowledge sharing across a business.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The problem: As the business began to grow sharing insights and industry news can be a challenge, especially with keeping up to date on the latest developments. Tumelo had a Slack channel for sharing, but it wasn’t getting as much use/reaching all the business.
The solution: I worked with content writer Iskandar Suhaimi to create an internal newsletter that helped bring the content to life — better engaging colleagues on the latest developments in proxy voting, fund management and essential company updates.
SCOPE OF WORK
Email newsletter design
Template created in HubSpot
Weekly GIFs and visuals

● Project: New starters merchandise — making a joining experience one to remember.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The problem: Starting a new position can be daunting, especially in a remote-first company like Tumelo. We wanted to get new joiners to feel like part of the team from the off.
The solution: I worked with our ‘Head of people’ to create a range of branded materials that new joiners would receive, along with their laptops when they started.

● Project: How invested are you? Launch campaign for L&G, powered by Tumelo.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The challenge: Introducing the Tumelo product to pension members (for Legal & General).
We were given the challenge of creating a campaign for Legal & General’s workplace pension schemes to introduce Tumelo’s platform (the tool that would soon be available to them). The product was a voting platform for pension members to communicate to their fund managers how they wanted them to vote at company AGMs (in which those members' pensions were invested).
There were some clear challenges to this: Firstly, some people didn't even know that they had a pension. Secondly, they were unaware that their pension was invested in a fund, which in turn was invested in major companies that they likely have heard of. Thirdly, they were uninformed about the proxy voting world, including the fact that large companies hold AGMs, and that the decisions made at these meetings could significantly impact both the world and society.
The solution: Focusing on tapping into people's emotions and the causes they cared about. We introduced the idea of "How invested are you?" and presented various themes that we believed pension members cared about, such as climate change, the environment, plastic waste, equal rights, and diversity.
SCOPE OF WORK

● Project: Tumelo’s first whitepaper, thought leadership in the pass-through voting space.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The challenge: Helping establish a company as thought leaders in the pass-through voting space.
The solution: I designed Tumelo’s first whitepaper. The document goes into depth on the world of pass-through voting and what it means for all the key stakeholders in the process.
The document was a digital download and printed publication. And worked in conjunction with Tumelo’s marketing team to create awareness materials.
